Read below to find out the answers to our most frequently asked questions at Elemental Health Clinic. If your question is not answered below, please do get in touch via email.

What is Functional Medicine?

Functional Medicine is a systems biology based approach to health, assessing your entire body as a whole, looking for the root causes for why you have become unwell. In addition, we utilise components of lifestyle medicine, nutritional therapy, mind-body-spirit work to provide a fully holistic approach to healthcare. Find out more on this page

What are the clinic opening times?

Being a fully virtual clinic, we can consult patients when it suits them, as such we have no fixed opening hours. 

How do we contact you in an emergency or urgent situation?

Please note, we are not an urgent or emergency care provider. If you have an urgent medical problem please ensure to contact your own GP / 111/ A&E where appropriate. If you have an urgent query regarding an upcoming appointment please email the clinic.

Which package or service should I choose?

This is based entirely on your symptoms or health goals. The best option to decide which package to go for is to book a 10 minute call with one of our team so we can decide how best we can help you. 

Are your services covered by insurance?

At present our services cannot be claimed back via health insurance, however some insurers may cover your for lab testing and/ or nutrition consultations. Please liaise with your health insurance provider to determine whether they can cover you for our services.

Are you a NHS or Private Clinic?

We are a fully private clinic, our clinic is regulated by the CQC

Where is your clinic based?

Our clinic is fully virtual, all consultations are conducted via zoom. You will be emailed your zoom link prior to the appointment. 

Can you see International Clients?

Yes, as our clinic is fully virtual, we are able to see International Clients. The only difference with International consultations is that we cannot prescribe medications for you however this is often not required

How old do you have to be to consult a practitioner at the Clinic?

The clinic is licensed to consult males and females aged 13 and above. Anyone aged 13 - 16 must have parental consent and ideally should have a parent or guardian present during the consultation

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

How is it best to contact the clinic?

It is best to contact us via email as all staff work on a flexible hours schedule. As such you may receive responses to queries outside of normal working hours. All email queries will be responded to within 24 to 48 hours. If you do not receive a response to an email please check spam as our emails may end up in that folder. 

How is testing conducted?

All tests, except for some blood tests, can be conducted at home and posted back to the laboratory. Your practitioner will determine if a functional test is recommended for your case. 

Where do I go for my blood draw?

Blood tests will be conducted at a phlebotomy clinic near to you. Staff will help you identify the closest clinic to you and inform you of this before you purchase the test from us.
